Contacted the seller. Machine is located in St Albert for those in the Edmonton area. I was really thinking about picking it up today but just don't have the time to go get it before Wed.
If I had the room I would snap this up, looks like it has a vice, collets and DRO installed.

Thanks would be helpful, and yeah the acme nut on the RF45 isn't awesome. But it doesn't really matter as long as I remember to go past and back to take out the backlash. lol I'm just a hobby guy so manual is fun for me, have a CNC router that does what I need it to. This is probably overkill...
Contacted the seller, it's a R8 collet so that is a plus. If I can manage to get off work before 9 anytime this week I'm going to have a look at it, if it's still around. Would be a nice upgrade from the RF45 I'd imagine.
Wouldn't the Craftex CX709 be approx the same as the Grizzly your referring to? I almost went with that one last month but opted for the CX707 instead, I also have a B2227L for the last 15 years great little lathe.
It's actually a 14X36 lathe even the numbers indicate this on the headstock in multiple locations. lol

Thanks guys, kinda what I was thinking but wasn't 100% sure. Only VFD I have is on lift for my shop door, 3 phase door openers are super cheap used. lol
Sorry if this sounds stupid. lol But do you guys that run a 3 phase VFD setup on your lathe or mill still use the gearbox or do you just control the spindle speed with the VFD?
There's one in the Edmonton FB marketplace. I was going to pick it up to have it around but not sure if I would ever use it. lol
