Horizontal Boring Mill Use

Martin w

Super User
I’ve mentioned in other posts about my boring mill.
I am offering the use of it to the guys at canadianhobbymetalworkers.com .
If you have something too big for your mill, or an oddball setup. I am in Niagara so fairly close to a bunch of you guys
I don’t want to do the work, but would gladly help. I don’t really want someone who hasn’t been around large machinery obviously for safety reasons.
I don’t have a lot of room so nothing that would need to be set up for too long
Its an older mill, but it does hold a good tolerance, but if you are building something for NASA it probably isn’t for you.
I have a assortment of tooling , boring bars and set up blocks. The machine has about 5’ of X-Y travel and 36” of Z. It has a 3” spindle with 24” of travel. No DRO so you would have to use dials:cool:
PM me if you have a project. IMG_0179.webp
Cheers Martin

Line up forms to the left ......

That is very generous of you Martin. Nothing comes to mind currently ....but you never know. I'm in TO but get to Niagara a couple of times a week.

Don't hesitate to post more shop photos, looks like you have some neat stuff!
