10 little things we hate about the internet.

I went looking for the thread I started as I was looking for a name for this truck mount, but couldn't find it for the life of me, but that's not the point of this rant.... I used about every search term I could think of, starting of course with the simple "Ford cargo cab mount" probably tried a...

    Whelp, there goes the neighborhood.

I figured that I would start a thread of some of the random doings that go on around here. If I ever get back to on-topic type projects, I will try and give them their own thread. They say that the line between brilliance and insanity is pretty thin line, I'll let you be the judge.

My 8mm tap plan.... Some pre-xmas fun.

Some of you may have been following along on my brief journey into 8mm tap overload, and of course, some of you probably have me on your ignore list, but that's okay, I have been married to the same woman for almost 30yrs and I don't think she knows my first name, so I am used to that and not...

    Drill bits

A while back a fella dropped by the shop I was working at and mentioned that he had some drill bits that he wanted to get rid of..... I haven't gone through them yet, but for $100 I am a pretty happy boy...... Some of them are pretty rusty, but the majority are serviceable as is.

    Mini excavator needs new tracks

A few weeks back, I partially severed one of my tracks, and in typical fashion I was a long way in from the road and in some very steep terrain. Well, I limped it out of there when I was done and have been using it on light duty while I formed a plan to replace them. I have a spare that I have...

Any idea what this type of mount is called?

It's the rear cab mount on my cabover and it's beyond time that I replaced it. The dealers have washed their hands of these models and so finding some parts are becoming a challenge and the rest I will have to make as I go. I am sure I can find replacements if I only knew what to call them. My...
