Man. You REALLY suck. I was an hour away from Stuart’s hometown yesterday and was thinking of dropping by to pick up a couple kits and save the shipping, but at $210 each for the smaller kits I just couldn’t justify it. The price you paid for all that stuff is criminal!!!

Do any of you have any clue how long that protective coating of oil and fine dust particles take to apply so evenly to all surfaces? The dedication to outside coverage gives me a warm fuzzy feeling the all the internal components and bearing surfaces received the same loving attention.

Congratulations oin your new purchase! The lathe looks like it has received good care through the years. I'm not a SB expert, but one thing that has been mentioned in the past when it comes to disassembly of lathes is to NOT take off the headstock. Sounds like re-alignment is a real hassle...
