This sums up perfectly why I hate selling stuff on marketplace/kijiji.
I used to get that all the time. I used to buy Motorcycles and part them out to fund my racing habit. Guys would want me to deliver a $20 part to the other side of Toronto at 5:00. Ya, no thanks. I'd rather throw it in the garbage than do that.Don't forget "can you deliver it (to the other side of town, for free)"
Holy smoking deal! $400 for a 10KI too hate selling stuff, that being said, I think I just sold the 10k I have been using for the past 10 years or so. As much as I try and not take in any outside work, I let my defences down a little some time back and helped out one of our local wildfire firefighters that has taken up hotrodding chainsaws. Last time he came by, I offered up the lathe for $400, which is what I paid for a bunch of parts lathes that I am going to replace it with. It won't come with much for tooling, but I did offer a bit of tech support and the mandrels etc that I made to do the work I did for him. He seems pretty excited, and I get to start on another project......
That's my story, and I am sticking with it... As part of the deal, he is supposed to join up here and absorb the wisdom that is so freely offered by the members here.
