Nice lathe. Shame about the price. Looks like i will have to sell my Hercus soon. With asking prices like this, I can’t afford not to cash in.

Well, I have a Emco Maximat V13 that i am just finishing up a refurbishment on. Just need a transformer to get it going.

Sounds like spending money for some more tooling.
After I got my SM1120 running, I sold the SM9 and most of that money is now in tooling for the 1120 and the milling machine. Certainly doesn't take long to empty a small pot of money.

That is for sure! Everything is bigger on the Emco so of course new tooling will be required. And a new 4 jaw chuck. And a heavier boring bar. And…..

I had a look on lathes.uk, does the chuck mount similar to the Busy Bee style? Loosen the three nuts, rotate the collar then remove the chuck.
