Parkinson No. 1NA Miller Machine - Edmonton

Looked at the pictures, and had good memorise of standing around a similar terrazzo wash fountain, at shift end, talking trash and gooping Swarfega (green gel) hand cleaner on to remove the day's grease stains from our hands.

Then sorta did a double-take at the urinals lined up against the wall, with a separator, but no other privacy. Nice place! LOL!

This is located at the Edmonton Institution, North-East of the Military base. Used to drive by the place on my way to work, for 4 years...

What’s that hand wheel on top?
Yes that’s the parking attachment to change to horizontal. I have the same machine. #40 NMTB . I wish I had all the change gears for for the dividing head. On my list if they ever come up!
Has rapids on all axis, coolant in the base. I love it!

Day and a half left, sitting at $51. Id pay 500 for the dividing head and rotary table alone. The mill itself is sexy as hell power feeds and rapids, mmm. Any folks in Edmonton: you have a moral duty to save her :P Make it happen.

If only it were 3000km closer...
It will weigh around 2400 pounds. The only thing I don't like on mine is the vertical head is not as heavy duty as it should be. Because of the gearing it is noisier than my old K&T was.. Mind you I have run a large HSS face mill with no issues. Highest speed is about 700rpm, but I would have to look at mine.
There are a few YouTube videos on Parkson mills. If a guy had the knowledge and change gears, you could make helical gears.
Mine has the driveshaft attachment on the table for the rotary table but it is missing the banjo and the gears, if anyone ever finds a banjo or a sample I could copy, I'd be ecstatic.

It appears to be missing the overarm support for the horizontal spindle as well as the horizontal shaft. I'm going to pass but someone else should bid on it. I'll even volunteer to help move it!

It is located at the Edmonton Institution which is a maximum security prison, I guess that the reason there is no privacy around the urinals.
