My other lathe transmission maintenance (October 2015)

I have another lathe in my studio, the East German wmw200-500. I got it in June 2015, but it was out of order. It opened my road to repair, and I also began to learn the knowledge of circuits.

After a long inspection, find a fault, replace a rectifier bridge, and then find another fault: no output from the gearbox.




So I took it out of the base and opened it up
This should be the wrong lubricating oil caused by the fault, very viscous, beyond the normal range of addition, the formation of some gelatinous obstacles.

Circuit inspection found that there is a DC-24V electromagnetic clutch is bad, the first use of ultrasonic cleaning viscosity is very large grease, very difficult!


And remove all gears, bearings, gaskets and other parts in turn (because it is difficult to clean up the tiny space inside).



Locate and disassemble the faulty electromagnetic clutch


Rewind and test, wrap, dip paint, dry, assemble



Start installing all the gears and shafts


This should be the wrong lubricating oil

One man installation is very tiring because it is so heavy

Remove the bad ones and cut them off to see how many you have, Figure 7
