MBA Research Survey for the manufacturing sector: Does trust lead to interview success?

Does trust lead to interview success in the manufacturing sector? As experienced manufacturing professionals who have conducted interviews in the past, your participation in this quick 5-minute survey will help me research this important topic, and the results will be used to create more jobs in the manufacturing sector.

I’m an MBA student at the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) based in South Africa. To complete my research report, I need to collect data from experienced manufacturing professionals across the world to gather insights on how trust is formed in an interview, if trust reduces uncertainty and if trust can lead to successful hiring outcomes. Any interviewer in the manufacturing sector who has assessed an external candidate (interviewee) within the last 2 years can participate in the survey.

Your views matter, and you are invited to take part in this survey: https://pretoria.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3fpODkbWUlnkzLE
This 5-minute survey is anonymous and confidential.

Please note: Interviewers include any staff member who has participated in and assessed an external candidate, whether blue-collar or white-collar, in an interview within the last 2 years. For panel interviews where a panel of staff interviews the external candidate, all staff members who sit on the panel can complete this survey. For multi-stage interviews where the external candidate is called back for multiple rounds of interviews, all staff members involved in the multi-stage interviews can complete this survey.

Please may I have your support in completing this survey?

You cut your chances of getting help with your survey to ribbons by requiring a 2 year window. I've hired literally thousands, but I've been retired for 17 years now.

FWIW, trust ALWAYS plays a role. Not just in hiring but also in business deals of most kinds. Even though some might say it isn't important, in their heart of hearts, it actually is.

Thanks Susquatch for your interest, but I had to limit the time window to 2 years, otherwise people cannot remember enough detail on what happened in the interview and then I will be faced with recall bias in my research. So the time window is just to limit the effects of recall bias but you are free to pass the link out to others you might know who qualify to take the survey.

I see. In my case, I wouldn't remember what happened in an interview 2 weeks ago let alone two years ago, so it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Hi all, the response rate for my survey is quite low. Just thought I would send a quick reminder on this forum to please participate in my survey (if you have not done so already) so that I have enough data to analyse. It will only take 5-6 minutes and is completely anonymous and confidential. It contains only 25 multiple-choice questions with no typing required.
