We've seen a 15% - 20% increase across the board in our grocery bills
Earlier this winter i was rooting around to the bottom of a freezer, moose roast--2018. It was very tasty. The pork/deer sausage, vintage 2019 i found at the bottom made great snacks for the hounds.I’m mildly curious why you have frozen meat from 2019?
Ya Galon Weston was only able to have a 3 million dollar a year pay raise this year. I believe he went from 5 million per year to 8 million. Very small and tight margins. You are forgetting about the tight margins holding these grocery chains back from making some real profits
Brother's GF had it in her freezer. She said she was going to throw it out, and asked if I wanted it for my dogs. I said no I love my dogs.I’m mildly curious why you have frozen meat from 2019?

...about 3x what the 'official' numbers are.Inflation rate =
It's the hidden tax. These days they don't even have to print more money to cause inflation. They just add some zeroes on a computer and call it "quantitative easing"!...about 3x what the 'official' numbers are.
The budget will balance itself. Its Justin flation.
You're not following the official script, if you simply use the NEW calculation that excludes the volatile items from the official list you will clearly see that inflation is trending in the right direction.from $3.65 per kg in 2019 to $13.21 per kilogram in 2023...
Inflation rate = ((Price in 2023 - Price in 2019) / Price in 2019) x 100%
Ergo
Inflation rate = ((13.21 - 3.65) / 3.65) x 100% Inflation rate = (9.56 / 3.65) x 100% Inflation rate = 261.64%
I don't believe that is how to calculate "inflation rate"! You have calculated the percent increase over 4 years or so rather than a "rate" of increase. An increase of 2.6 fold in four years is an annual rate of increase of about 27%.from $3.65 per kg in 2019 to $13.21 per kilogram in 2023...
Inflation rate = ((Price in 2023 - Price in 2019) / Price in 2019) x 100%
Ergo
Inflation rate = ((13.21 - 3.65) / 3.65) x 100% Inflation rate = (9.56 / 3.65) x 100% Inflation rate = 261.64%
