Model 2414DB, 15 Amps/1650 Watts. I've had this abrasive saw for about 15 years. It's had lots of use but still works likes new. It's a real workhorse in fact. But I got a good deal on a cold cut saw so I am moving on. If you've never used one of these before, they are kind of an adrenaline rush because of all the noise they make as well as the sparks. Personally, I like the smell and sound of them. I figured I'd have this abrasive one for another 15 years (hence the extra blade), but the deal I got on the new one was too good to turn down. I guarantee it works like a charm.

I'm not making it a condition of the offer, but if you'll just picking it up to flip it I'm going to suggest leave it for someone who is either new to the hobby or can't afford one at all. Again...it's not a condition of the offer—I'll give it to anyone, but it's just a suggestion.

If you are in the Calgary area and want it, I'd like to off-load it ASAP. You can either pick it up at my place in NW Calgary, or I will deliver for free within Calgary city limits. Would like to see it in a new home by next week (Nov 9-15).

Either way it will have to be contactless delivery. I'll leave it in your in a driveway or you can pick-up in mine, etc.

I have the same machine and can backup CalgaryPT's claims, it is not an expensive machine but it does work well.
What is your new saw?

Drool,,,,
I think the Dewalt has better reviews, but it's 14" which I don't need, and is rated at 2200 watts. Some people complain it trips a 15 A breaker. Also, the 14" blades for cold cuts are a little harder to find and can be over $200. The Makita abrasive has been a tank, and 12" is fine for me...hence my decision. Oh yeah, I got $200 off. That helped.

That's about 30% + off, good grab.
When I wired my shop I put in all 20amp breakers (12g wire) just to avoid those pesky little amp problems
Yeah, I did the same, but not as smart as you. I just put in one 120V 20 Amp circuit. But then I needed to upgrade the small 26 gal compressor to a 60 gal that runs on 220V. My welder is a devoted 60 Amp circuit, so I couldn't use that. So I commandeered the one 12 gauge circuit and changed it to a 220V circuit.

If only I had it to do over again :( I'd also opt for a 200 A service. Our service is all buried, so it's cost prohibitive to change now.

Hi @CalgaryPT , if the saw is not already gone, I’ll take it.

I can stop by to pick it up or you can just bring it when you come wire your truck.

I have been using an angle grinder for the small steel pieces; the Carolina bandsaw for the bigger stuff.

Then it's yours.
Pick a day next week (Mon-Fri) and PM me your address. I can drop it off as I have to go east side city limits anyways.
