Would this meet your needs @TorontoBuilder? Or do you need flatter than a counter top?
I'd need closer.

There are two issues, flatness is good, but mass and dampening are just as important. This is too thin.

I'm 75% leaning towards an epoxy granite table 3 to 4" thick. That way I get dampening, flatness, and cast in place inserts and metal structural elements.
