Atlas lathe for $400 in Calgary

Appears to be a homemade steady rest. Don't see the change gears among the other jumbled piles.

While that may seem cheap at first, if it doesn't have change gears or has anything wrong it, I'd personally pass on it. Things can get expensive repairing those things or finding missing parts.
 
I think I see the tail stock in the parts box.
