  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans.     de-magnetize digital calipers

    I made one similar to Janger out of an aluminum blank and it surprisingly work very well. I have demagnetize lots of allen keys and drill bits with great success. I have four small magnets and the poles are alternated on mine.

    Identifying an odd thread.

    I don't know if this applies , but I use to put a strip of paper ~ (.003") to set the distance between the gears of my Atlas lathe gear train. That seemed to work well for that application.
