    Small repair....

Yeah, I could speculate as to why it breaks, but the fact is it does and the weak point is the glass filled nylon part, I've had experience with this stuff years ago and it's great, strong and durable, but maybe a poor choice for this application. My guess is it's used because it's cheaper than...

    Small repair....

I appreciate the caution, Dusty, I worked for DND as a civilian a long time ago stocking spares for all manner of equipment , from the Frigates in the 90's to F18's and the once thing they trained us to recognize was the "consequence of error". In this case a failure in the assembly due to an...

    Small repair....

The plate is plastic, in fact the whole device is. I don't know why it breaks, it happens under water while in use so a clear view is impossible. Yeah, the photos in my first post should show everything. I figure the flats are there for a reason, I'm mechanically inclined but not an engineer...

Yeah, I don't gamble either although will drop a couple of bucks on a lottery ticket once in a blue moon. A couple of relatives have had issues with poorly controlled gambling, it's sorta hard to un-see the car wrecks...

    $70million Lotto Max

And fast forward 20 years....in 1996 a co-worker won 6.2 million in the 649 draw. He enjoyed his wealth for 20 years or so until he passed away, sadly. But rumor has it that he couldn't take any of it with him..... But his widow was/is very merry.

    $70million Lotto Max

I recall a local man won $100K in one of the first Ontario lottery draws in the mid 70's. I remember so well because he blew it all in 2 years, give or take. First off he had a custom home built on my street. Lot was too small, & the neighbourhood wasn't the best. Then he bought a 6 unit apt...
