    I use an old tent duffle bag for my tarps, its really weak material though im just to cheap to get better but that does not stop me from packing them in solid. May work for you may not.

    Its upside down, the long-short side of the HSS should be on the top with the long on the high side. The extra material on the non cutting side helps to balance the tool. When i use my boring head i add a counter balance for the same reason. Balance is important on our small machines

    So you only paid for your total time and not a full hour? Thats pretty good surface feet covered in under an hour you did, how do they meter your use? Did you get to set up off the clock?

    Its possible! Your arm would be very tired but if you were looking to set up a mini mill specifically for this purpose, by adding power feed you could get consistent repeatable effect, a fly cutter would be cheapest cutter and a repeatable way to secure the work would need to be found

    Some place just south of the picknpull on barlow (head south on the access road to pnp) has a self serve outdoor sand blasting deal, cannot remember the name but it was something like $20 an hour. Bring ear plugs, the helmet puts pressurized air in your ear

    I started as you are, just settle for the princess auto anvil, and get some basic punches for holes, hack saw for cuts, and now you have what you need to make tongs, start practicing bending and straightening and making holes. Scrap Material will be your next challenge
