    Clutch slave number two.

OMG looks very Yamaha ish to me. Some time ago I fought the good fight trying to get an XS650 clutch that worked well. In the end I went hydraulic like you, but somewhat differently. I have pictures I could post if your interested but I don't want to high jack your thread.

SM change gears - Imperial 1120 for metric gears

127/50 is the standard conversion ratio all lathes. It's derived from 2.54 Centimeters = 1 inch. 2.54/1 = 254/100 = 127/50. Change gears from other lathes not just SM may also work?

    Tool Slitting Saw Holder

When tightened down the machine screw head is flush with the bottom of the arbor. I could possibly counter sink it a bit more and thin that bottom piece but there's not much to gain. I can't remember what I did exactly but it only protrudes about 1/8 to 3/16 below the blade when screwed down..

    Tool Slitting Saw Holder

I have had a number of commercial slitting saw arbors and have been frustrated with all of them. The arbor would either protrude well bellow the saw and interfere with the work piece or the arbor was too short and the mill column would make clearance issue above the saw. I made this one to have...

    Service for Oxy/Ac gas saver.

Now I'll be darned. I never thought of PA as a source. Probably and Asian import. And yes the name brand ones are expensive. The one I got is very used so I didn't pay near that price! I think the original North American manufacturer was Weldit, but it was sold by all the majors under their...

    Service for Oxy/Ac gas saver.

It's a set of valves that go between the regulators and the torch. It has a lever to hang up the torch. the lever closes the valves. It also has a pilot light. When you need to pause welding and hang up torch it shuts off. When you restart just pick up the torch and pass it by the pilot light...

    Service for Oxy/Ac gas saver.

I scored an Oxy/Acetylene gas saver. It's appears to be complete and in decent condition. It is quite old and pretty dirty. Can anyone recommend an individual or shop in the Calgary area to clean and service it before I hook it up?

    TX650 hydraulic clutch conversion.

Very nice job. Back in the day I adapted a Ducati clutch slave to my XS650. A big improvement over the plastic screw thing. Yamaha clutches of that vintage were pretty shitty. If I recall I made changes to the basket and pressure plate as well.

    Carbide Inserts?

I totally agree. Braze to a shank and grind to whatever shape you need.

    I need a magnifier

Mine is an Accusize as well. It has R8 collets, which worked for me because I have both metric and inch R8 collets for my milling machine.

    I need a magnifier

My eyesight is good. I don't wear glasses. I've had cataract surgery which gave me great distance vision but I lost the ability to adjust to closeup situations.
